Leasing a SUV...which one makes the most sense?

Which one will retain its value thus being the better deal? I have been looking at navigators, aviators, z71 tahoes, eddie bauer expeditions and the nissan armada....My wife wants a new car every 3 years so i was thinking leasing may be the best thing for her....it seems the key is finding something that holds its value well....Any ideas?

Exactly what 2002 said....The payments are largely based on what the residual value of the car is at the end of the lease...So alot of times it makes more sense to lease a higher end vehicle that will hold its value..like a MDX....but I need three seats, do those have three seats?

Even if they did have a third row not sure it would be big enough. Would you be putting kids or adults back there?

Are you looking to lease because you can't afford a payment on a 36-month loan? Why lease when you can own the car afterwards?

Tell your wife to live with a car for 4 years and do a 48 month loan, buy a Toyota / Honda, and you can sell it for a lot when she's done with it.

In a collision, you want to win. You want to be seated higher than everyone else on the road. You want people to take notice of you in your SUV. You want a big vehicle. You want something to haul the kids in. You want something to take a vacation in. At your kids' soccer games and when picking the kids up from school, you don't want to be "that parent." A built-in LCD screen and DVD player is a must. So is a GPS navigation system and all that other **** they offer. You are a red blooded American. God, family and country...in that order. You need a vehicle that shows where your priorities are.

There are only two SUVs that make any sense at all. The Hummer and the Expedition. Well, perhaps there is a Lexus SUV that would work as well.

God Bless America.

I am not worried about gas..I already drive a big 4x4 truck.....My wife drives to work which is about 5 miles down the road..It will be used for trips and I have one 8yr old with a kiddo on the way..Add a friend on trips plus luggage and yes I need a suv....save the tree hugger vibes, I just wanted advice on which suv is the best to lease....

I want to lease because a) she wants something new every 2-3 years b) typically you have lower payments c) I lost my *** on her last car buying it..it depreciated after 3 years so fast its rediculous...I dont want to get caught up in that trap again

anyone lease a aviator?

You knew it was only a matter of time before the sanctimonious ******** entered the thread. I'm suprised it made it as far as it did.

Acura Resale Value[

You could go back and check the initial sales price of the car, but the above example is based on BS math at best. Here are the real numbers and it would appear that is you looked at the 2002 models X5 and MDX both with 30k miles the BMW is retaining more of its sale price than the Acura. Assuming you leased it for 3 years starting in 2002. The BMW would have cost you approx 45k in sticker and will fetch approx 37k if sold with 30k miles and it outstanding condition. The Acura would cost you about 44k and is going for 27k with 30k miles and outstanding condition. BMW recently won an award as the luxury car maker with the highest resale value. I am not saying that the Acura is anything other than an outstanding car. Just saying if you want to lease a car for 3 years your best resale value retention is probably an X5 or Range Rover. Acura, Lexus, Chevy, and Ford all tout pretty good resale value on their vehicles, but it usually doesn't wash. BMW Resale Value

Last time I checked mini vans dont tow a boat or camper well nor do they make them in 4 wheel drive....go back to your tree hugging hole buddy...the last thing on my list is a damn mini van

Actually when compared atThe Link the vehicle that held its value and can be leased for 550 a month a loaded out toyota sequoia....I might have to check into those

Do you want me to drive my truck pulling a 30 ft travel trailer to garner state park while my family follows me in the minivan? Or would it be easier for me to get a suv that can pull it and allow all of us to ride together? Give me a break man...if i was just toting kids around that would be one thing, but I am an outdoors man that takes my family outdoors...a minivan doesnt cut it so dont assume that it would without knowing what you are talking about
