Leadership and team chemistry used to be a huge topic on this board a couple of years ago. Two years ago, many on this board thought the lack of them was a key factor for the mid-season collapse. Last season, we had an OK team chemistry as Jordan Hamilton vowed to be more positive and TT, Joseph and the seniors held the team together.
This year's leaders were the upper classmen: Wangmene, Chapman and Brown. All of them led by example, but none seemed to be a vocal leader that held the team together and took the younger players under his wings. I rarely saw our players talk to each other, let alone feed off each other.
I just hope Rick Barnes takes this intangible aspect into account when he recruits. Any college team performs better when it has a floor general/coach who takes ownership of the team. I just wonder who that person was this season, and who he'll be next season.
