Clendon, how would you rate the Horn's chances with Wallace, Flowers, Green , Sims and Brown or Flowers from Carolina>

Great pickup. Big 12 (or Big10/Pac 10) offenses will have stout defenses to go against for the next 4 to 5 years.

oh, the shark bites with his teeth, dear
an' he shows them, pearly white.

mack is back in town.

thanks ross and clendon

20 sounds like a nice, round number to me. Does anybody know whether we have a chance for six commits out of the second Junior Day?

6 more commits? i don't think so. i'd take 6 commits out of the 1st jr day remaining guys for sure (heck, draw them out of a hat.. they're that good). out of the next batch, i think Greanlea is the only big fish that seems likely to commit, and even he seemed to like the ou jr day quite a bit. while i would take a Sims in a heartbeat, i don't think he would commit early (and could eventually end up at ou anyways, if we get brown). Kendall Thompson seems like a pretty good bet to commit with an offer. Shannon too, though we are getting tight with the DB offers at that point. Quandre Diggs should get an offer, but I'm not sure if he will (i'm going to guess yes b/c we need more CBs). Then the 2 athletes Ladarius Brown and Desmond Roland... both seem like takes to me, but numbers wise they don't make sense (at least at WR). Hocutt seems to be liked by the coaches, but with Edmond and Moss on board, could we really offer another LB with Wallace and Vaughters (and Thompson) out there?

my guess.. we get 1 more from the 1st batch before Saturday (i hope Reed personally, because Brown seems unrealistic that soon), and then 3-4 guys get offers and commit on the spot. The most interesting ones may be the OOS guys Turner (if he can make it) and Flowers. I would love to get Turner out of OK.. possibly the #1 guy out of OK, with Demarco Cobbs, for the last 2 years

Excellent. 2009 stats according to Smoaky.Com were 182 tackles, 34 TFL, 7 fumbles caused, 7 fumbles recovered (1TD) and 5 INTs (2 TDS). DIstrict MVP.

The name Edmond sounds familiar. Was one of his relatives a stalwart on the great Dangerfield team on '84 (?) that went undefeated and won state?
