David Reese ..... Farmington (Farmington, MI)
3-star ..... ILB ..... 6-1/235 ..... Michigan Florida
Reese shows nice acceleration on designed blitzes. His peripheral vision must be at least 359° as he doesn't seem to ever lose sight of the ball or (potential) blockers - he's a cruise missile going after a target. Once he makes contact he becomes that sticky-gooey Area 51 stuff the scientist warn you about: "Don't touch that! You'll never get it off."

Per Scout:
We started to see the speed improvements and coverage improvements he made in the offseason pay off at camps, but that has carried over to the field where he has been impressive the first three weeks. He's still hitting guys as hard as he ever was, but he's getting sideline to sideline better.

Per BON:
With the Wolverines surging under new head coach Jim Harbaugh, flipping a Michigan commit from the state of Michigan would seem like a tall task for Texas. The Horns could [] hold an advantage over the Wolverines - there's Twitter chatter that Texas can offer Reese a spot as an early enrollee, while Michigan cannot.

NOTE: I just hope this ILB hasn't been... Cherry-picked. Sorry, it's the medicine mixture that made me type this.

Despite some momentum of Reese to Texas, the 2 most recent CBs have been by Neb "writers" and are both to Big Red.

The good news is that has an OV set for us Dec 12.
Who knows how the assistant coach situation will affect this visit?
He has said he will EE and, if so, then we are the last visit. So ..............

Per a poster on another site:

Strong will be in Michigan tomorrow (12-8-15) doing an in home visit with ILB David Reese. Reese is going to be an EE and should be making his decision soon. He'll take his OV to Texas this weekend. Nebraska is believed to be in the lead for his recruitment.

Critics are going to wince if Charlie wraps up what appears to be coming our way. Doesn't hurt that we just got 2 upgrades to 4*.

He'll take his final official visit this weekend, to Texas (he has previously visited Nebraska, Florida and TCU.

Charlie Strong did an in-home visit with Reese this week (I believe Bedford was there also) and it sounds like the UT coaches made one heck of an impression.

Reese's father told another Rivals writer he was "ready to run through the wall" after talking to the Texas coaches.

Mr. Reese his son is very excited about this weekend's upcoming UT visit. The biggest concern is the distance. As is the talk of Charlie Strong's job stability.

"The vibe in talking to him, was will he be there the whole four years? But he's facing that question at a lot of positions of the schools on his list," I was told.

One person this week told me Nebraska feels good about its chances. However, another Rivals reporter who has had his finger on the pulse of this one believes its down to Florida and Texas.

Florida assistant Randy Shannon did an in-home the same night Texas did. Florida will be back on Sunday, before the dead period. Nebraska is also trying to get in on Sunday for a last-minute visit.

Reese is expected to have a decision next week, so the Longhorns will get his last official visit.
