Layer Cake

Even though this is a 2004 movie, I finally saw it in its entirety. What a great movie. You could really feel Daniel Craig's angst when the issues began to appear. I really felt like I got to know his character so well.

Very good film, I need to put it back in the queue for another watch. Sienna Miller is hawt.

Layer Cake is tied for 2nd favorite British gangsta movie.
I love that gorgeous ten inch barreled artillery luger. Awesome soundtrack as well.

Other 2nd is Rock-n-Rolla

1st is Revolver; best Guy Ritchie movie to date. But don't expect another dark comedy like snatch. It is more cerebral and artistic. Underrated because its too smart for most people.

Ritchie has directed some great films, but his legacy will forever be stained by one of the worst ever - "Swept Away". Kind of like Joe Paterno.

SPOILER

My take on Daniel Craig is he did die. He makes it through his multiple ordeals throughout the movie (Jimmy, the Serbs, Eddie) and gets shot by wanna-be gangster Sidney. And then you wonder if Sidney shot XXXX just because of the girl (albeit an extremely attractive girl), or did XXXX's own crew hire Sidney to kill him because he wanted out of the business or avenging Jimmy's death. Don't know...very interesting movie, though.
