TXSNOS is right. The specific reason has not been made public nor is likely to be. Protection of privacy for the student. While I am curious about it as are many others, it's not something that we are likely to find out unless Lauren decides to talk about. UT and Coach G are handling this the correct and proper way. I really expected Lauren to push for the starting PG position this season. Houston got an outstanding player.

I would like to see Houston invited into the Big 12...and help get us to the "12" part again.

Houston and TCU will not be invited to the Big 12, and for great reasons, not the least of which is that Houston has no business there. The big reason is $. The Texas media market is already wrapped up. Those two schools offer absolutely nothing to football in terms of $. TCU, all be it a good football program now, cannot come close to filling their stadium. Houston attracts like an average 5A high school.

Not to mention that OU would most likely have to move to the north division since all the Texas teams would make up the south division. And THAT will never happen.

Unlikely to happen, but in keeping travel reasonable, I would like to see one or both of the Arizona schools, or LSU. All three have good sport teams and would improve the league in that respect. Hard to see them leaving their current leagues, though.

I think LSU is a good idea but I dont like the sound of the Big 11.
