I'm flying in from California for the eaTme game on Thanksgiving night. Will arrive shortly before game time and will meet up with my son and some of his friends who are coming in from Albuquerque and Dallas. After the game we'd all like to go out and get some good Tex-Mex. Will anything be open after 10 PM on Thanksgiving night in Austin?

I'd check with places ahead of time before you make plans for after the game. Some places might open, others won't. If you're interested in home cookin' before the game, consider Hoover's Cooking on Manor Rd. They do a very good Thanksgiving dinner.

We usually end up at El Mercado or Polvos after late games. But, that is Sat night games. El Mercado stays open til 11 and I think Polvos til 1. That may not be the case on a Thursday night Thanksgiving game.

Jaime's and Serrano's are good places near the stadium.

Might want to call ahead to see if they are open, though.

You might try Neuvo Leon on East 6th Street. You can call ahead and make a reservation as well! They will probely be open if they are open thanksgiving

479-0097 tell them Steve and Nancy suggested you call.

Wow, i completely forgot to consider how so many places will be closed on game day that you just take for granted will be open. Grocery stores being closed might mess up some tailgating plans. Lots of restaurants are going to be closed. Definitely call ahead.

Jack in the Box is usually open on major holiday's. Looks like Jumbo Jack's for your crew Thursday night.

pretty sure Trudy's is the definition of : "late-nite Tex-Mex."
