Playing FAU, and again our QB is taking cheap shots. Ever since he became our QB, it seems to happen every game.

Tech always takes some cheap shots. A&M is A&M. OU did it at least once last year without even getting a flag. "Didn't hear the whistle" is going to get Colt killed.

Take out Colt, and we have no good replacement. What better way to beat UT. Kind of reminds me of Buddy Ryan.

I don't know the answer, but if teams are willing to employ this tactic, and we can't do anything to stop it, Colt may not last the season.

In baseball, if your pitcher throws at my batters, my pitcher will "protect" them by reciprocating. I don't want to go down that path, but is that what it's going to take to stop it?
 
The teams you listed are the types of teams that would reciprocate since they initiate. They suck for it and I would be pissed if our team or coaches condoned this ********. I got pissed at Killebrew for his antics and over aggression. His frequent penalties stopped momentum and swayed it to other teams. Everytime I saw a late or dirty hit I just assumed it was him. Hated when it happened and I would hate reciprocation.

Mack got hot at the second dirty play on Colt and some guys started talking trash and said something to make him turn around as he walked off the field. He kept going though. Smart move.
 
Mack had to push Colt back on one play, and most of the late hits the OL/other players were looking like they were going to rip apart the FAU defenders. Big difference from last year when it seemed like no one had his back.
 
Whatever. Let's have debate against teams that want to cheap shot us. That will work.

Mack does a great job knowing when it's time to give the refs an *** chewing. I think he knew he wasn't going to able to hold his guys back from taking matters into their own hands if he didn't make his point.

Why do you think Howard took Rusty Smith out after only 2 offensive series in the 3rd quarter? I don't think it was because the game was getting out of hand.
 
It doesn't matter against Florida Atlantic, but when OU was taking cheap shots on Colt, including hitting him when going offsides, etc., and the OL did nothing, it was pathetic to watch.
 
You pretty much always retaliate in sports when you get cheap shotted. There is no need to retaliate in a stupid way , you don't even need to draw a penalty ususally. Just wait for your opportunity and strike. Some guy hits my QB out of bounds, he better watch out because I'm going to chop block him. In the real world of sports if you don't stand up for yourself, you get punked.
 
Guys, guada was obv. being sarcastic as nobody would make a comment as silly as that and expect to be taken seriously. He just forgot to put his winky face, that's all.
 
In that case, a lot of times if you are blindsided like that it does not take all that much to lose your balance, esp. if you are slowing up. You don't expect douchebags to nail you again on your sideline. And from what I saw it was not a nudge, it was more than that.
 
I agree with many of these opinions but I am sick and tired of it always being Colt who seems to get it...I think Colt is too judging by his post game comments.
