Last years Baylor game on LHN last night

Watching that game replay was painful. Had to look at last years schedule just to make sure we won the stupid game. Quinn had a very bad game as did the OL and the d. I think bu held the ball for 21 minutes in the first half because of poor play on both Texas sides. Baylor got a full dose of Robinson/Johnson in the 2nd half which kept Quinns mistakes hidden and the OL was just not good this day. Hoping we see a much much improved ol play this year. The D just couldn't get off the field in that game. If that continues this year we are all going to be very disappointed. Its preseason so we are again in CFP contention. Lets hope to remain there after game 1!!!!!

Better experience, better depth, and frankly better talent added in the right places (WR, DB, etc) is a multiplier.

I thought the Baylor game was by far the best example of mid-game coaching adjustments during the 2022 season. And not just "hand the ball off" on offense, but the defensive intensity in the 2nd half as well.

Ewers definitely gets the blame for the intentional grounding safety, but those sacks at the end of the 1st half, the Whittington fumble on a 1st-and-20 conversion, and the fumble return for TD were symptoms of a lack of leadership and heady play from other positions. If we control those 3 possessions better, we're talking a 14+ point swing in the final score. And my biggest hope is that the 2023 team turns that corner and realizes the importance of leadership in those situations.
