I expected more names to come out and hit me as college studs from this list, but just goes to show how much of a guess the recruiting business is. At the end I show a # of missing pieces from this list.

I think there are a lot of really good players in there. The 04 and 05 guys have had a chance to develop, and many are either already in the NFL or were All-Conference or All-American type players. Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles, Martellus Bennet, Cedric Dockery, Jermichel Finley.

The '06 players include Matt Stafford, Sergio Kindle, Jared Norton, Chykie Brown, and Jevan Snead. That's quality, and these guys still have a year or two left to play.

The 07 and 08 guys are still either freshmen, redshirt freshmen, or sophomores, so the'll emerge over the next year or two.

I think you need to look at just the 04 and 05 lists. The other guys are still playing, and many have the potential to be great.

Wow I'd forgotten that Phillip Payne and Montrae Webber were listed that high. Webber has gotten a little playing time but Payne seems to have disappeared.

I sure Hope Tray Allen lives up to his ranking.
