Las Vegas hotels

Planning a roadtrip to Vegas for spring break with a pretty large group of friends. We aren't exactly rolling in money and we noticed that when you book a hotel if you say only 2 adults are staying in a room rather than 4, it is significantly cheaper. Now, does anyone know how strict they are on these rules and if it's worth risking it to save some cash? Any advice would be appreciated.

By the way, we are planning on staying at the Monte Carlo.

if you don't order rollaways, they will never ever know, so just say there are 2 people.

if you really want rollaways (meaning no double occupancy in beds or people crashing on the floor), then i would ask the front desk about it.

but say something like "a buddy may come crash, is there any extra charge for a rollaway?". then you'll know.

but no, don't tell them 4 when you check in. it's not like a hotel in padre with wristbands and ****.

If you are that concerned about the price stay at the Imperial Palace. It has been recently redone and is not that bad. Plus it is in the middle of the strip.
