Las Vegas Hotels - Best way to find deals?

So I'm doing the obligatory bachelor party for my brother in Vegas. We might have a pretty big crew...10-15 guys. A friend of mine is helping me plan but so far the cheapest we found for hotels (4 to a room) is the Monte Carlo, and each guy would pay 115 bucks for 2 nights in a 4-person room. That doesn't sound too unreasonable to me but I was wondering if anyone had better ideas for hotels, or how to find deals on them. We're trying the typical travel sites.

I was at a b-party last fall and we stayed at the MGM signature suites, which were pretty awesome, but I can't remember what we paid...maybe 180-200 per person in a 2 bedroom suite.

Thanks.

only 4 to a room? do you plan on sleeping or something?

im setting one up in vegas for next year but we will only be getting one or two rooms. priceline is the way to go, they will hook you up.

although if you use priceline/hotwire you wont be able to get a suite.

When are you going?

Try during the week, as Fridays & Saturdays the room rates are ridiculous.

I saw some Monte Carlo summer rates for $89/night.

BTW - the biggest privately owned construction project in the US is underway right next to the Monte Carlo, so it could be a bit noisy:

Yeah, maybe that's why they're so cheap now. But it's not like we're going there for a quiet sleep or anything, quite the opposite actually...

Anyway, I saw rooms at the Venetian for 250 a night, and they're all suites...and they sleep 4 in beds and have a pull out couch, so even if we just did 6 per room that'd be pretty cheap. Anyone do that in the past?

We stayed at the Venetian when we went in March (5 girls)... we had a Bella Suite or something like that... we each paid around $100 total for two nights. It had two beds and a pull out couch... plenty of room. I believe we found it on hotwire.

download travelaxe at travelaxe.com--good for an overview of all the places. However, I've almost always found the best rates by going directly to the hotels' websites. Use travelaxe to see if anything jumps out at you, then go to the individual hotels' website.

Depending on when you're going, you might be able to get the Venetian cheaper than that... It's the only 5* on the Strip for Priceline... So, you can bid with that in mind... For the summer, bids are winning for as little as $119, plus taxes and fees... Check outlink to see what PL bids have won recently for the dates you need.

The cheapest you can find is the Monte Carlo for $200+ per night? That's pretty steep. Are you going on a popular weekend or something?

If you have the option of that or the Venetian it's a no brainer. Venetian is simply a better hotel.

Sorry for another post, but I was thinking about how you were trying to accomodate 15 guys, and thought that the new MGM Grand skylofts might be pretty sweet. They range by quite a bit in price, but there is a special running on them right now at the website I already gave you (here) Could be pretty suite (ha ha).

FYI Suites work well for bachelor parties, not only for pre-partying/haning out, but I've heard they're a lot better if you happen to hire a "two girl show" or anything like that. Anyway you don't have to fit everyone in a suite, but ask about upgrading at least one of the rooms when you're planning. If you don't get it while planning, last case scenario is giving the check-in girl a $20, and simply asking for an upgrade.
