Can you imagine being the farmer who owns the farm? You're sitting there with your sheep when your friend runs in and tells you he's unearthed a gold cross. You're thinking he's gone daft. Then he runs in and tells you he's found another. Then the whole thing gets excavated and you discover that all of this has been on your farm the whole time?
