Laptop question

My iBook seems to have been designed as an alternative surface on which to fry an egg. Is there anything out there specifically designed to absorb heat from the bottom of the notebook? Some sort of poly-carbonate-hydro-sulfide-fiber-tempur-pedic type of device? maybe something made by thermos?

My schwetty balls thank you.

Do a Google search for "laptop cooler" and you will find many options. The problem is that most are designed for desktop use. I haven't seen any that are intended to permanently attach to the laptop, which sounds like what you want; but then again, I've never really looked for one.

Despite their name, I wouldn't advise putting a laptop on your lap for an extended period. You should try to keep your computer on a steady surface while you work, as excess vibration could cause physical damage to the surface of your hard drive.
