I dont have too high of expectations. My old comp crashed on me and I need a quick replacement that will last me a while.

I want to be able to surf, run programs, stream/play media without too much lag while doing either or combinations of the afore mentioned.

Not sure of either of these or anything similar can accomplish these needs.

What's the brand on the first one? Between these two I would choose it because the CPU is a little better, but no matter your expectations you will likely be underwhelmed by either one.

What's the most you would be willing to spend? I'd be willing to bet that if you went up to just the $500-600 range you could get a computer that is considerably better than these. Also, when you say you want it to last "a while", how long is that? A few months? A year? All important questions.

I think the first one is an Emachine. As far as how much Im wanting to spend its between 3-$400. But I think I can wait and put a few more $ into one next month to buy a decent one.
