Despite the fact that I lived around the corner from this place for 8+ years I never even knew about it. Now I see it on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives last night and want to know, who has been there? when I go what should I get? is it worth the wait that is sure to be there now that it was on the TV?

I've been several times for the burgers. I've always gone for lunch on Saturday, and while the place was packed, I never had to wait in line.

It usually ranks near the top for burgers in Houston or Texas

The place showed well on DD&D last night. Definitely want to hit it next time I'm out and about in Houston.

Saw that. That three-pepper burger and the chicken hash dish looked so damn good.

The thursday CFS special is well...special. the burgers used to be great, and by great I mean the best in town with CHristians Totem listed as a tie for the best. Somehow in the last year of so the burger at Lankford has kinda gone down hill a bit. The last two I had there were way overcooked and not up to par. that said if they get their mojo back it is one of the best burgers you will ever eat. A recent thursday trip for a CFS validated it is still one of the best anywhere.

The Firehouse burger is insanely hot. I mean ridiculously hotter than hell.

it's a great place and well worth the visit. type of place that's unique to Houston' laissez-faire zoning.
