The Big Puma is playing better than he ever has right now. I attribute this to having Tejada in front of him and Lee and Pence behind him. What a lineup....

He is in a straight zone. Even getting hits from the right side. I think he can keep a high average and the RBI's up, but I don't think he will hit 45-50 hrs to give him the triple crown.

So far, 2-2 with a double off the wall in the gap, a 2 run homer and a walk tonight. It is way too early to be talking about TC's and MVPs, but the Big Puma is definitely on the prowl for MLB player of the month. Hopefully by the end of the year he will join Bagwell with the MVP honors.

Considering the firepower in the rest of the lineup, if Berkman is in contention for or wins MVP and Bourne is in contention for or leads the league in steals, I think this team will be able to overcome its pitching woes and make the playoffs.

As an aside, Moehler looks to be securing a longer look at gaining a role as an SP tonight.

best stretch i've ever seen. "seen" being the operative word
