Just saw that story. Very good for Lance! I had no idea what he had been doing, that he was an NBA executive.

The run that the 1990 team made remains one of my favorite UT sports memories.

Lance was a scout for the Spurs for several years, then Assistant GM in Cleveland (also known as Spurs East), for five years, and now GM in Phoenix. Another Spurs alum makes the grade!

Conventional wisdom says the Suns GM job is one of the best in the league. But the franchise isn't what it used to be under Colangelo. Sarver is a lousy owner and Lance will be reporting to a former agent turned team President. I wish him well. But I don't like the dynamics.

I remember a game he was standing on the small longhorn logo...about 35 feet from the basket. He looked at Penders who looked away. Put up a shot...SWISH.
