MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge took extra shooting practice before facing the Milwaukee Bucks, and it paid off.

Aldridge scored 29 points, including a 13-foot game-winning jumper with 2.4 seconds remaining, to lead the Trail Blazers to a 103-101 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

The early shooting "felt good and carried over into the game," Aldridge said.

I was orignally not that big of a fan of Lamarcus when he left Texas. I did not think he was ready to play, but he has turned the learning curve and showed a lot more skill then what I have given him credit for.

followed by another really nice performance in another Trailblazer win.

9-18 from the floor, 22 pts (uncharacteristic 4-9 on FTs cost him a legit shot at 30 pts), 10 boards, 4 assists

I really liked LaMarcus and thought he would do well in the league, but he is exceeding my expectations to be sure.

In the most recent update--a loss to the Cavs--Lamarcus followed up with yet another outstanding game:
41 minutes, 11-19 from the floor/3-5 FT for 25 pts and 10 boards.

The 'Lamarcus watch' is proving to be very gratifying indeed!

He's a baller. Got overshadowed last night by LeBron's triple double.

Portland will be a team to watch next year when Oden recovers from knee surgery.
