Lakers vs Durant

Game 1 at the half. OKC gave up 30 in the 1st Q, but held LA to 17 in the 2nd, and are down by 8 at the half. Kobe has yet to turn it on it seems, but still leads all scorers, and Bynum and gasol playing good. Westbrook can abuse Fisher all night long. Durant not playing great. ABC is brown nosing on bynum right now.

OKC hung in close (<10) the whole 2nd half, but couldn't seem to get over that hump. Durant didn't play that well, with Artest on him. Should be a good series, or Kobe could really turn it on in OKC and sweep them.

More defensive game than what I expected.

Was surprised that Durant struggled as much as he did (still got 24 points in a 'bad' game.) Not sure how much of that was playoff jitters and how much was Artest - prob a little bit of both.

Westbrook will abuse Fish all series long.

Will be interesting to see if Kobe snaps out of his slump in this series.

I don't think I will ever go into a McDonald's again after being bombarded with those "making it" commercials. On second thought, i never go there anyway.

In game 3 last night, Durant played some very impressive defense against Kobe late in the game. The one play early in the 4th quarter where Durant blocked Kobe's fade away jumper was really unbelievable. With Durant's length, I expect to see more of that from him. That play must have gotten Durant's juices going because he really picked up his shooting from thereon out. He also had 19 boards for the game.

By the way, Russell Westbrook is a damn good player. He kept them in the game while Durant's shooting was off. If they get another big guy next season to help out in the paint, look out.

Kobe basically lost LA the game in the 4th quarter--he was horrendous and KD was a huge part of that.

Pretty impressive to go for 29 and 19 and have a lackluster game, then have a former star guard say you are going to be the best player in the world in three years despite playing in the same era as LeBron James.

Every good point guard causes LA trouble. All. Of. Them. Even the one's that are only kind of good. Its been their achilles heel for a long time.

LA prob wins the next two games and will prob go to the finals, but they're not playing good enough ball to win it all. I'm amazed at how effective the OKC defense has been with such a size disadvantage.

During that 3rd qurter spurt that started with the Westbrook dunk is prob the loudest I ever remember a crowd sounding on TV. Wish I would have gotten tickets to that game.

OKC is pushing the tempo to a double digit lead in game 4. I haven't seen much of them before this series, but I really love their style. Durant is the heart of this team, but they have some good players.

Durant & Westbrook have this team playing like they're at war with the world.

Refs won't be so friendly in LA, but maybe the Thunder figured out how to run these guys a little ragged?? It looked that way tonight.

ooh, LA wins close game 6. Looked to be a Gasol tip in with half second left. Thunder have a bright future, guess they have earn their dues first.

The Thunder had some opportunities to take this series. With their young talent and coach the future is most definitely bright.

Not so fast. The Lakers have looked beatable. Deron Williams is much better than Westbrook, and will probably destroy Fisher moreso. LA probably takes the series, but they'll have to work for it. LA has a short turnaround. Game 1 is sunday at 2:30, and SLC will be relatively rested, and are younger. Don't be surprised if SLC steals game one.

LA's pretty banged up and haven't played that well since the all star break so it's def not automatic that they'll make the finals. But they've got Utah's number. Plus Utah's the one team in the west that's more banged up than LA. This series prob goes 5 - might go 6. ...I think Denver would have been a tougher matchup.
