Lakers are really freaking good

I thought last year that they would be a beyotch to score on when they got healthy and that's proving to be the case. That's a tough front line with 2 7 footers defending the paint and you know Kobe and Fisher can get after it defensively.

I know this isn't earth shattering or anything but they are my pick to win the title this year. 2 blowouts and Kobe's letting the game come to him. I think he asserted himself for a total of 5 minutes in the two games I've seen from them so far.

The Clippers are probably going to be THE worst team in the league this year. They lost Maggette and Brand, and the perpetual gimp Camby has yet to suit up.

They haven't won the title yet, but they are amazing on paper. I can't think of another team that was ever this long and this athletic. Bynum, Gasol, Odom, and Bryant. Two seven-footers. Their #2 is 6'8".

Lakes have some talent.

Two games in it is a bit premature to decide what kind of a team they have.

I don't see anything that suggests that they are light years ahead of where they were in June or July.

Bynum alone should be enough to convince people that they have the depth for a serious run. They did it without him last year, and still took the Finals to 6 games.

It's not just bynum, they were a young team and they got a year older and a year better (other than kobe and fisher who are on the wrong side of their career arc everyone else is under 30).

I've always loved Farmars game and he is going to kick it up a notch. Clear favorites.

BTW- I'm no laker fan- I grew up hating them and then I was a huge Rocket fan but after the NBA died to me and college ball replaced it I dropped almost all allegiences. I'd call myself a rocket fan but nowhere near a fanatic. I like watching good matchups and interesting teams so I've been keeping an eye on the lake show. They are good. I'm indifferent toward them.
