lake mcqueeny

my friends have put together a float trip for about 15 of us. the house the rented though is on lake mcqueeny. i have been to NB to float several times and have always used one of the outfitters in gruene. are there other places to float closer to lake mcqueeny, or will we simply be loading up and driving over to gruene?

You can float in gonzales. It is not crowded and is a great trip. Other than that you have to go from NB up tot he dam.
