Not good for 2 reasons:
1. He was playing very well, better than Salty
2. We can't showcase him for potential trade

I hope Salty can step up and something good comes out of this but those are some downers.

I agree even though i've heard ramirez makes salty look like johnny bench behind the dish. don't have 100% confidence in my source and hopefully he's wrong.

Washington said the Rangers would have called up catcher Taylor Teagarden from Triple-A Oklahoma, but he is sidelined with a sore shoulder

That makes sense. Do they know how long Tea will be out? I could see him taking Max's place; especially with Blalock coming back to man 1st potentially. Unless Wash plans to DH Max Ramirez (mostly likely will be Bradley in this slot), that leaves no room in the inn. I am all for this kid getting a shot in 2008 though. No one in our minor league system is out hitting him this year. The problem is that it's the C's and 1B's that are really stepping up at the same time. Not sure that is a problem though. Just difficult to sift through.
