Ladies: I need ideas for a Dr. Seuss baby shower

You have to serve green eggs and ham, somehow. Perhaps you can have deviled eggs, and experiment on how the use food coloring to color the filling green.

I've thrown 4 baby showers for my sister, as well as some friends. I'd have to say you caught me off guard with the Dr.Seuss theme. Usually it's Pooh, Disney, or something along those lines. You would probably be best looking for the decor at Party Pig or online because I haven't really seen anything at Babies 'R Us, Target, or Walmart for Dr.Seuss. As for games, there are plenty to choose from! Feel free to PM me.

I did find this:

We're sort of having an anti-baby-shower shower.

The mother-to-be (my coworker) and I have sat around for the last 6 months complaining about blue and pink and pastels in general so we didn't want to do something traditional baby-ish. She chose some bold reds, blues, yellows, and browns for the nursery so we thought the Dr. Seuss universe would complement that.

Oh, and Mac, all baby showers have themes. Pink, blue, stork - that's a theme.

Someone needs to bust their *** and come up with a copy of Dr. Suess' little known but much beloved original classic, "Daddy Drinks Because You Cry."

Have some banners with quotes on them, like:

A person's a person, no matter how small

Some circus (McGurkus) decor out in the hall

All your guests will really drool

Over your punch in the bowl labeled McElliot's Pool

After muching the green eggs and ham,

Baby naming suggestions, starting with Sam

I'd better stop before someone hunts me down and kills me.

huh.... I didn't think throwing a shower for a 2nd + kid was normally done. But then again. I only have a couple friends w/ kids so I don't know much about it.

I threw a shower for a friend-- OK, we called it a shower but really it was a kegger. One of the funnest things we did was have a bunch of white onesies and fabric paint, and poeple painted them for the baby. Oh course, the best ones came when the drunkenness set in

put a ball on the wall in the hall. use a ladder. be careful, don't fall.

put a book in the nook by the cook where guests can find it if they look.

when in the mood, make colorful food to feed your brood. keeping them hungry would be quite rude.

gifts of toys are great joys for future girls and boys. what will you name it, have you thought about roy?

Two chick bartenders told me about the following game they played when they gave a baby shower for a friend of theirs.

They melted candy bars into diapers, then blindfolded the pregnant chick and had her take a bite from each diaper and guess what type of candy bar it was.

Hey, you asked.

You have to do something with "Thing 1" and "Thing 2", I don't know what, but something.

You could blindfold people and have them try to stick stars on the mother-to-be's stomach (a la "The Sneetches").
