I just went there for the first time. It's a little Mexican food place off of S 1st and Mary St. I have to say I was pretty pleased with the authenticity of the food. Everything was good, and the service was fantastic (although it took them a while to get the check to us). I'll definitely be going back.

ate at La Reyna for lunch. Yet another fine Tex Mex establishment. Hot salsa, good beef enchiladas.

Polvo's is next...

i dig la reyna. went to polvos last week for lunch and blah. service was seriously horrible. we went for lunch and the waiter would disappear for 15 minutes at a time if not more. and the food was mediocre. i won't be there in a while. the waiter looked liked he would rather watch paint dry than be our waiter.

La Reyna is my Dad's (a loooooong time Austinite) favorite place. He loves it.

I think it's pretty good, but have never gotten super excited about it or anything...
