Kung Fu Panda

was freaking AWESOME!

Seriously. It just past The Incredibles as the best animated movie ever in my opinion.

Dreamworks has finally made a better animated movie than Pixar.

It was hysterical. We never stopped laughing. It had fantastic action sequences, imaginative kung-fu battles.

The animation was beautiful. It was equal to or better than anything Pixar has done.

Go see it. It's great.

This was the best animated movie I have seen with my daughter. I usually want to drive my straw into my eye about 20 minutes into one of these, but this one actually was enjoyable.

There is no charge for awesomeness.

If it were not for my daughter I would avoid movies alltogether. Took her to this over the weekend, not sure its the best animated movie ever, but it wasn't bad at all.

The previews made it look more like Bugs Life or Meet the Robinsons than Monsters, Inc, Toy Story, Emperor's New Groove, or Incredibles. Actually, I take that back, it made it look worse than any of those; made it look more like Surf's Up.

i worked on the ad campaign for that movie. i can't say much. but i'll say that is one great movie and we made it a lot harder than it should've been.

eh, i thought it was ok. toy story and incredibles i thought were better. the animation was one of the best but jokes wise...not all that. some funny parts but jack black as an animation lead was odd considering jolie, lucy liu and others were in it...well i guess none of them are great comedic leads but it seemed like a bunch of second level comedians, with no real hook. still, good movie, i give it a B+

If you have 2 to 5 year old kids, be prepared for them to be ready to leave during the middle 50-60% of the movie, which drags badly for the kiddos. The last 20-30 minutes picks up the pace, though, and the movie finishes strong.

The dumpling fight was a highlight for me.

For me, it was pretty good overall, but not as good as I expected, and not as good as the Incredibles.

I give it a B-. I found Jack Black pretty annoying since he plays basically the same character as in School of Rock. The animation is good and the story is interesting. The two 8 year olds I took to it really liked it so my review is somewhat meaningless.

I went with my son, his gf and her 8 year old daughter and we all loved it.

I also don't get the criticism of Jack Black. As a matter of fact, I can't think of anyone that would make a better Kung Fu Panda.

Just got back from it, thought it was pretty damn funny. It wasn't as hilarious as I'd hoped it would be, but funny nonetheless. Jack Black is always enjoyable.

A good actor has some range and does not play the exact same character in each movie. Was Joe Pesci the same character in Goodfellas, My Cousin Vinny, and JFK? I thought Kung Fu Panda was above average and worth the $5.50 price of admission, but nothing special and I went to it thinking it would be very good based upon this thread.

It's a cartoon. We're not talking about Oscar worthy performances or anything.

They have to record his lines months before any animation is done, by himself in a booth, with no other actors around.

They need a known quantity. They need to know exactly what they will get. Jack Black gives them that.

Again, it's a cartoon.
