KU loses Washington to ACL

After receiving the honor of the 2017 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, Washington was set to lead a Jayhawks squad of seven newcomers. Last season she led the Big 12 with 19.3 points per game in league action....

The Kansas Athletics press release does not specify if the injury will end Washington's career as a Jayhawk or whether she will take a medical redshirt year to recover.

Sad to see. When she played us, we didn't have an answer for her. She's a transfer from North Carolina, so she's burned up one redshirt year. I guess they'll have to petition for her to get a 6th year - if both sides want.
