I realize that you guys probably hate Tech, but fans of the top teams in conference have got to be rooting for them right now.

Oh, and that technical on Beasley was an absolute joke. Ed Hightower will do anything to make his presence know on a basketball court.

Why should we hate Tech? We own them in every sport, and they provide endless amusement when they beat aggy. I look on Tech as that cute but clueless and slightly delinquent younger brother who mostly means well.

Either way, please make sure you're rooting for them. As one of the few class programs in the conference, some good karma from y'all will certainly help with the upset.

In basketball, I have no animosity for Tech. I like to see them win any roundball game not against the Horns. Actually they would be my second favorite basketball team in the Big 12, because of Knight. During or after he coached there.

Their big win tonight ties up the top of the Big 12 in a 3-way tie now, I believe. Our Baylor game this week is a very big game. Need to win a game like that on the road.

No hate for Tech here. Glad to see them pull off the W over K-State!

I think for the most part, Texas fans have been fairly respectful toward Tech when it comes to hoops. Our home crowd gave Bob Knight a standing ovation in honor of winning his 900th game. Knight mentioned that he felt like he had always been treated well every time he came to Austin.

Good luck, except against Texas.

I have no problem with Tceh either, .... BUT... the cheerleaders' sign at the post-game was a little lame, something like:

"902 wins, an era of dominance,
Win 1 in a new era of dominance."

Or something like that.

Only problem is that very few of those 902 wins were at Tceh.

Kind of like the Kansas City Chiefs claiming Joe Montana and his Super Bowl wins as theirs because he rode the pine a year there after San Francisco.

OTOH, I like Pat Knight a bunch more than either his dad, or the other patronage boy of the Big XII, Eddie's boy over at OSU.

Some coaches just seem to carry themselves well --- Pat Knight's got that coolness about him.
