There is speculation on the Baylor board that she's headed here, but someone also mentions the fight she had with Nneka in the state tourney, and wonders if there would be any issues between the two. Of course they also point out it would mean someone leaving to make room for her, since the roster is currently at 15 through 2013. One bear fan also mentions that Krystal would have to sit out a year if she wanted to go anywhere else in the SEC, which they assumed rules out A&M. Does that mean she doesn't have to sit out if she transfers to a non-SEC school?
I posted this once but it didn't show up; not sure what happened, so hopefully I'm not posting a duplicate. Anyway, there is speculation on the Baylor forum that she is headed here, but someone also mentions the fight she had with Nneka in the UIL State tourney and wonders if there would be issues between the two. They also mention that she would have to sit out a year if she went anywhere else in the SEC, which they assumed rules out the ags. I wonder if that means she won't have to sit out if she goes to a non-SEC school?
One other thing; we're currently at 15 through 2013, so someone would have to leave to make room anyone else...either Forthan, or other recruits lookoing at us for 2013.
I think most schools don't release a player to transfer to another school within the same conference. I think a player loses a year of eligibility if they transfer to a conference school. Therein lies the speculation that A&M wouldn't most likely be her her destination.
She could, though, go JUCO for a year, and then go to an SEC school.
Perhaps Travis Mays had a part in her choosing LSU initially. While there was that altercation with her and Nneka in the playoffs their senior season, I thought the both played on the same AAU team in San Antonio.
Yes, Nneka and Krystal both played for Clarissa's AAU team. But I think someone posted previously, around the time of Nneka's commitment, or re-commitment, that she wasn't affiliated with the team for very long. I can't really say because I don't follow AAU ball at all. If Forthan were to transfer to Texas, and had to sit out a year, that would put her in the same class as Imani; it would be nice to have the two of them for three years together. If she transfers and doesn't sit out, imagine having Cokie, Imani, Krystal, Anne Maire and Nneka together for two years. Pretty scary (for other teams) if that turns out to be the case.
Rexy is right, don't know why I forgot about Brewer's situation. And of course Bone trasnferred out of the SEC also, and still had to sit out a year. So I guess it's likley Forthan will miss next year regardless of where she ends up.
