Not sure what the heck is going on with Kris Boyd. Mack tweeting at him, he is tweeting back, Deshon trying to get in between. Speaking in twitter emojis that we grown men can;t figure out. But something is going on between these kids.

There has been smoke all day that Kris Boyd may just go and flip to aggy. Aggy sites' guys like Liucci had apparently claimed that Boyd had called aggy on the way home after committing to Texas, all confused and asking for an LOI from there anyway, just in case.

Then crap has been hitting the fan with whatever Mack is trying to do. No wonder guys like Deshon Elliott and Kai Locksley are getting in there.

Malik has been absolutely silent on his buddies Mack and Boyd. I think he has pretty much had it with the craziness. For now it seems like that.

Boy, this kind of unusual level of friendship and communication between kids and this last minute indecisiveness in some of them are making the recruiting process go nuts.

My take. The coaches have finished doing their pitch. With both Texas and Texas a&m having such a poor year, the sales pitches are all now down to a tie. Now we are left to pray for the kids to just do what is good for themselves rather than take others with them, frankly.

Somebody may win out. Hope we are the ones

Doesn't seem likely that Marco would commit if he knew Chris was getting cold feet.

A little far fetched, if you ask me.
 
I have no idea, but kids are into some sort of a kiddish war right now, tagging along older people with them. Like I said, when two programs are inn the dumper on paper (on results), it could come down to such things. "My ding dong is bigger than yours" business.

It's some sort of a twitter war between guys. Maybe it is all too late and after the fact. Aggy guys probably know they ain't getting Boyd, and the Texas guys know they ain't getting Mack, and they are just messing around.

At this point, I would just like to hear the final word that Mack is gone somewhere and that Kris is staying with us. The little worry that both could be gone is maddening, though I still feel very little chance for that to happen.
 
If Kris Boyd really does this, even his brother won't forgive him.

It seems we just made an offer to an ATH/DB, Marcus Lewis of Washington DC, as per rivals. That sort of looks like we had shut down DB recruiting based on what Kris said, and let guys like Deandre Baker go, and now we are struggling. Just a guess.

Nothing is confirmed, but I am just saying what is out there. But people are really nervous about whatever Kris Boyd is pulling, and how Mack suddenly seems to be just an aggy like they all are

Meanwhile, one guy who talked to a Texas commit apparently heard "we are still working. you all don't know nothin" (no idea if it is on Mack or Boyd or Soso that this "work" is on). Take that all for watever it's worth

A theory:

A week or so ago we had these top recruits together. They seemed to be having a good time, the news was positive, burnt orange angels were singing Hallelujah. Then we heard from a couple of them (Malik and someone else?) that they knew a secret. Acting all coy about stuff, like a plan was brewing. Something bold and provocative. Wink, wink.

Now, as we close in on NSD we are getting reports of possible flips, UT being out of contention, etc. Bad news for Texas. Some of the big names slipping away.

But are they? Or could this be part of the ruse that was hatched during the earlier visit in order to make a big splash on NSD?
 
By chance, could we use both these guys given the wide range of the D.C. young man? He's taller, faster (by a hair). He plays offense too. I see where he Twitteded about Kai about 2 hours ago. Is happy for him. Maybe he'd be stoked to catch balls from him. ESPN the website has him a fraction slower than 247, an inch taller and listed as Safety. 247 has him at CB/WR. I am liking this kid what little I have dug up.

Not dissing Boyd at all. Asking honest question that if we don't land Mack, do we/could we have room for a CB/WR hybrid at his level?
 
^^ Oh we have enough room for sure. Marcus Lewis is such a top recruit that we will create room somehow if he is interested. Anyway, we have at least a couple of extra spots available now, even if Mack and Sosa picks us. I assume if Kris Boyd doesn't flip by tomorrow night, Marcus Lewis (and us) may not bother to pursue it. Since both Texas and FSU are after him suddenly, he may chose to delay signing anyway though. We will have to watch this.

It is also possible that we offered Marcus Lewis because of the Jamile Johnson decommit and hearing from PJ Locke this evening that he is staying at Oregon. So the Marcus Lewis offer may have nothing to do with a Kris Boyd scare, but I still feel a higher chance that it does.
 
This makes zero sense based on his comments the day of his and Hill's commitments....

they have the power to really mess up the plans of not only teams but also those of other players....
 
Ok, he is sticking. Just confirmed clearly on his twitter. Typed up a long piece on his history with both programs, mentioning Josh walker and cousin Curtis Brown. Ended it with "I am officially 100% a Horn" !!! Phew. he could have done this a long time ago.... Kris Boyd Tweet

I think Kris Boyd realized that while he was being friendly with players at both schools and having fun with this whole thing, it was beginning to go overboard and causing serious concerns for coaches and grownups at both programs. This was pretty much a "sorry for being a big mouth" type of tweet. Okay dude, we forgive you. Stay put and look forward to Pat Moorer

I actually have one adult diaper in the closet from when an elderly relative visited a few years ago. My plan is to stay off the internet today then wear them tomorrow. If I used it today, then I'd have to work from home Wednesday.
 
Boyd confirmation is excellent news.

With 26 current commits or early enrollees (one of those commits, Merrick, being a potential greyshirt that will not count toward 2015) and 31 scholarships available, there is room for an unexpected signee or two. If one spot is reserved for a summer grad transfer, there are still 5 openings left for 2015.

Plenty of room for:
RB - Soso and/or Warren
DB - Marcus Lewis or Carlton Davis or Deandre Baker
WR - Newsome or Reed or Ketchum
DT - Mack or ? --- another DT is needed, IMHO
OL - Drew Richmond decommitted from Ole Miss, likely headed to Tenn but he is a take if interested

some combination of the above would result in an outstanding recruiting year.
