Korea House

I just tried this place the other day, and it is the bomb. They have sushi and bulgoki lunch specials. I didn't try the sushi, but the pork bulgoki was really awesome. For 5.50, it came with about a pound of meat, a heaping side of rice, an egroll (pot stickers or veggies were availble instead) and a host of other sides smaller sides. The sushi was priced very well at 6.95 for 6 sushi and 6 Cali rolls. My buddy that brought me there assures me that the sushi is pretty good, but not the best he's had, but at 7 bucks, it's great.

It's right behind Fudruckers on Andersen if you're interested.

I went there last week with a couple of friends and had the same bulgoki special you did. I was pretty impressed (but I've never had it before, so don't know how it compares). I've decided I need to go back for the sushi special.

I'm glad my friend had been there before...I never would have found it on my own.

I hear that's one of the best Korean places in Austin. I ate there once (ate kim-chee), but I'm baslcally a meat & potatos guy... so don't ask what I thought.

you know, I like all asian food except Korean. Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Malaysian, whatever.... I just don't like Korean food. I have been to Koreana and Ichibon and I just don't like the food there.

Korea House is great. I like to go with a bunch of people and order a combo of sushi and Korean BBQ. Good place to go before catching a flick at the Alamo.
