Kobe Bryant is the NBA MVP

Yea, that sounds about right. The other candidates were Lebron and Chris PAul. Two young players. I'm sure the voters felt those two guys would have plenty more years to get an MVP, whereas Kobe has been at their level (or higher) for so long, without an MVP. It took Ducan 5 years to get his, Shaq 6 years. This is Kobe's 12th year in the league, so congrats to him.

My only complaint is that Kobe is getting the award because his teammates are better, not because his numbers were any better than they've been in the past. That doesn't equate to the most valuable player in my book, but he certainly deserves one.
 
you guys realize that kobe scored 28 per game, had 6 boards, 5 assists and 2 steals per game.

and that the lakers are the #1 seed in the west.

Paul had a great year. James had a great year. But to insinuate that this was some kind of lifetime achievement award for Kobe is absurd. He deserved this MVP.
 
Chris Paul has proved in the playoffs as well as the regular season it was his award, however Kobe was just as impressive and deserved the award. No way to complain if any of the four won it.
 
I really think it was only a 3 man race.....Kobe, Paul, James.

Garnett was great but that is why he got the defensive MVP award. Nash I have realized can put up great stats but it really has alot to do with who he plays with, he is a big liability on defense, and perhaps 1 or 2 of his earlier MVP's should have gone elsewhere.
