Knight Rips Calipari

I agree with Knight, but as a guy who won more games than anybody at the D-I level, he should know the bottom line.

Calipari wins. How he does it will be overlooked until he's not winning, or he obliterates the rules (most likely the former).

Good for Knight.

While Calipari is obviously a good coach, it's unfortunate that a program with the storied history of Kentucky would stoop to hire someone with his reputation - particularly after what occurred with his predecessor. It has win at whatever the cost written all over it.

Dont worry, Kentucky will be on probation in a few years. Of course Calipari will be long gone at that point. He will be making his millions somewhere else. Hopefully at that point violations will stick to coaches as well as universities.

When Roy Williams said no thanks to the #1 recruit in the country who just happens to be from North Carolina, that has to raise some red flags.
The win provided redemption of sorts for Wall, a native of Raleigh, N.C., who grew up wanting to play for the Tar Heels. Though North Carolina pursued him throughout high school, the Tar Heels never offered him a scholarship.UNC vs Kentucky recap

Knight has done a lot of things I do not agree with, but this aint one of them. I agree 100% with him.

Jon Calipari is a total piece of **** who wins at any costs. He screwed UMass and Memphis, and Kentucky is next. Kentucky made a deal with the devil, my only hope is he never wins a title there, he doesn't deserve it, nor does UK. Calipari should never be allowed to coach at the amateur level. He's a lousy roll model, and Bob Knight was 100% correct.

Yes, but you fail appreciate Calipari's response. He quite emphatically reminds everyone that he isn't just any POS, he's a churchgoing POS.

Knight is right, but he should rip the schools that keep hiring him as well. It's hard to blame Calipari for getting hired. Schools like Memphis want to be on the map for anything and will sell their soul to do it. Kentucky will do anything to be a basketball power again and will sell their soul to do it. In an environment like that, cheating hacks like Calipari will always find work because they win.

Knight is right on this one. However, don't blame Calipari. Kentucky knew all about the warts; overlooked them; and threw a shitload of money at him. He will eventually be caught out again and Kentuck will act shocked while they are firing him.

You would take a cheating son of a ***** who never won a title over a guy who won 3 titles and could, but for some very unfortunate injuries, have won at least 2 more? And graduated his players?

Have at it.

Calipari is a better fit for todays street agent open cheating environment but eventually even a bunch of dolts like the NCAA is going to get tired of that smell and do something about it.

I sure as hell would appreciate if the NCAA would finally look into the help Calipari gets from his association with World Wide Wes. There is something awfully fishy there. Wes lives it up on the high life with courtside tickets to every big game. And yet WWW has no visible source of income. He just knows all the great young HS players and directs them to Calipari? Good Lord, I know the NCAA will never investigate any program that doesn't blow the whistle on themselves (i.e. look at USC), but someone tell me how WWW can still act with impunity........ I'm sure some UK Wildcat booster has access to FedEx envelopes!!!

Calipari is dirty. Kentucky is so desperate for glory that they are willing to have some sanctions down the line. In the meantime, they'll have a Final Four or two.
