Knebel This Year's Jungman?

Did that outing by Knebel remind you of another dominating
pitcher starting at about this time last year?

Jungman still had good velocity also last year, but his
pitches flattened out and he was shelled during the post
season. I certainly hope this is not the case, but I had bad
flashbacks to last year watching Knebel tonight.

The bats look worse than they did at the start of the season,
I didn't think that was possible. Marlow hitting two home runs
on opening day and not sniffing one since kind of sums it up.
We can point to a game here or there but with the exceptions
of Payton, Weis, Felts lately, and sometimes Walsh we just
can't hit. I hear we signed Marlow's older brother Ty out of
Junior college. I hope he can out hit little brother.

Augie put big time emphasis on this game to win and we
come out and just lay a big goose egg. That's not Baylor,
Stanford, or even Aggy out there. That's a bad Missouri
team that's going nowhere that made us look terrible again.

I know we aren't very good, but we should not look THAT
bad. Yes, we have lost in the tournament in the past to bad
teams, but then we didn't care really. This time we did care
and lost badly.

I don't see how this team can last beyond a few games in
whatever regional we are sent to. I hope we can, but I don't
see how.

Yes, it started a week later at the regional and continued
through the College World Series.

I still stand by my point, Knebel arm looks kind of
dead like Jungman's arm did. Maybe he lasted a week
more because he didn't close and start.

Yep. I am thinking back to all those long outings on Friday nights in Lubbock etc. Very disappointing use of Knebel this year.
