Klatt on Cowherd

Can't stand Cowherd, he gets on pretty much every nerve I have, but he did have some good things to say about UT, the uniforms, Ellingher, all that. Klatt has always been pretty high on Texas, and likes us in a coin fliip over OU.

BUT... the thing that interested me most about the interview was that he says he doesn't remember any of his last college game, which was the Big XII championship game when he lost to Texas. All he remembers about the game is waking up in a hospital after having been knocked out by Killebrew. I hadn't heard that before. (Concussions are no joke, so I will not jokingly say that he may be better off not remembering any of it.)

Good clean hit.

I personally wanted to pull Klatt from that game he got hit so hard and in so many ways. To his credit, he did not give up.

I admire him even more that he does not hold an innate grudge against Texas.

Even if he disfavors Texas in the future, he will retain my respect.

Wish some of these modern-day foes had as much class/sportsmanship.

Really with you on this one Rain. It made me think immediately of Ricky and Dat Nguyen or Colt and Sam Bradford. It's a violent and highly competitive game but at the end of the day it's exactly that: a game. Knock them silly for 60 minutes, help them up when you do, and shake hands at the end. Guess I'm too old school
