Kittens in Dallas

A few weeks ago we saw two kittens playing in the street in front of our house. As a human would walk by, they would try to follow. They had been abandoned. Although we are not cat people and our dogs are not cat-loving dogs, we brought them in thinking they needed to be rescued and we could get them to some sort of shelter fairly quickly. We were naïve. Getting cats rescued is apparently easier said than done.

We can't find a rescue group to take them and our constant pleading to friends and neighbors has been equally unsuccessful. The last choice is the ASPCA. It's no kill, but we just don't know how they will be placed. We have grown attached to the little things and although we know we can't keep them, we want them to find a good home.

So, anyone out there want two kittens (one calico female and one black male)? They have been to the vet and are healthy and have their shots and are all sorts of cute. Or, does anyone have a contact with a rescue group that can help us? The kittens are staying in one room and it's really not fair to them or our dogs. They need a real home.

Thanks for listening.

This makes me so sad. This is also why I have seven cats. I'd take them if I could, but may I say BLESS YOU for taking them in. You are a good person.

Now, won't someone step up and take these little darlings so they can have a happy and safe home?

Thanks and yeah, I get the jokes. I am generally not a cat lover, but....

They are short haired cats, best I can tell. We may have a lead on the calico, now we need someone to take the little black one.

Some of you need to chill. For goodness sake we have an entire section of this BBS named for the joke idea of killing and eating a golden retriever. That's the joke behind "Rusty's Grill".

Try posting on craig's list. Be careful who gets them or they'll end up being dissected in the science class across the hall from mine.
