Honestly, this is a good thing for both the team and Ian. Dude has been mired in a slump for damn near 2 mos. Assuming Omar can hold the fort, the rest will do Ian some good.

We brought up Neftali Feliz. Excited to see what he can accomplish in a short stint with the big club. I'd guess he'll be back in OKC when Grilli comes off the DL.

OUE, I like your point. Maybe Ian can get into the batting cage when he's able and get Rudy to help him get rid of that uppercut swing. His current swing produces only two things when he makes contact - Homers and popups.

I'm anxious to see Feliz in action - we've read a lot about that "effortless 98 mph" fastball.

You guys cheer hard tonight - I'm off for Bethesda, returning late tomorrow. Somebody brew up a good batch of mojo for the Rangers - and a nice hex on the Angels wouldn't hurt, either.

Feliz isn't going back down. JD basically said they wouldn't call him up until they were ready to let him play out the season.

There is usually a learning curve for the major leagues, but some learn faster than others. You don't need quite as much finesse when the ball is going 98 mph. This is pretty exciting. The Rangers pitching staff that throws a lot of different looks at you, but no one has the same look as Feliz.
