anyone on here make it to the show? i went to the one in dallas on wednesday and the singer made reference to the show in houston, and it wasn't in a good way.

did something actually go down, or did the show just suck *** or something. he didn't get specific, but he said this:

"wow, we were in houston last night and it feels like we are in a completely different state."

then of course, the dallas crowd cheered at the houston snipe...... then he said:

"oh, it gets way better"

and that was it. anyone have any insight? maybe it was just a generic kiss the audience's *** comment. if so, no telling what he said in okc.

I was there. A few songs in, Caleb said something like, "Come on, Houston, you can do better." The crowd was a little quiet, but so was the band. Something was up at Verizon - it wasn't loud enough, the mix was kinda bad, roadies were constantly coming out tweaking stuff, etc. I enjoyed the show, though. Dude probably felt slighted by the lack of noise/enthusiasm.

I was at the show and I had seen them a handful of times before. It wasn't a bad show, they sounded good, but they only played for a little over an hour. That along with the singers comments about the crowd kind of spoiled it for me. I don't really know what he expects, they were the ones that decided to shaft Houston with a Tuesday night show in the first place.

Not to mention they put a miniature OU helmet on top of their drum kit, at least it gave me a chance to shout ou sucks a few more times this year!

Not loud enough? Wow. I had seats on the front row upper level and the sound was so loud my jeans were vibrating as were the seats and lights. The lead singer had a bad attitude the entire time... No idea why unless it was because it wasn't sold out. He drank shot after shot and sounded rough towards the end. He acted like a spoiled brat at the end of the show and kicked the mike stand over and glared at the audience before storming off. What a jackass.

Sock, being up by those stacks must have been key then (Edit: Oops, I thought you said you were on the floor). I was at the back center of the floor, so my listening experience depended on Verizon's PA and people at the soundboard. And I was kind of disappointed, which is unusual for the venue. Nothing the band did was disappointing - they played well.

I wasn't there, but from what I heard it was nothing like the shows they played here in the past. 06-07 were rock n roll shows. This, again, from what I heard was contrived MTV crap.

I mean look at their freaking haircuts and clothes?!?!

MTV got hold and will never let go now that their fans are nothing but screaming teenage girls.
