Kiel to IU...I mean LSU...I mean ND

After dropping his committment from IU for LSU, Kiel made another switch by enrolling at Notre Dame today. I was a bit surprised he was going so far from home so ND makes a lot more sense for the kid. Considering LSU is losing both their "starters", I'm sure they're pretty bummed about this.

Maybe Kiel heard all the "Mettzenberg will be the starter next season" jibe.....Read it on their boards, hear it from Musberger during the MNC game, hear it from their fans. It was as if LSU expected the kid to sit on his arss for 2 years and like it

I have seen a few threads about Kiel on this board over the past year. From what I have seen the kid isn't that great. That is based on my watching his performance at the Trent Dilfer QB camp on ESPN show.

Heard an LSU alum call in a local sports talk show yesterday complaining about the switch. He whined about how LSU had placed all their eggs in one basket and his late switch screwed LSU from pursuing other QBs. Yep. I laughed...a lot.

In 2 years, he'll be a footnote in college football history like Perrilioux. He said he would report to LSU and didn't follow through. His issues with keeping his promises will backfire on him. If I were an ND player, why should I trust him over someone who I know is already all in for the team?
