Kidd Kraddick dead

Confirmed by a couple of media outlets now. Not too many links but lots of Twitter feeds about it.

Kind of hard to believe... that dude was on my radio dial back when he was on the Eagle. Then he "sold out" for the mainstream jump to morning drive time and the format was never the same. For people who follow the radio biz, it's kind of weird to see such a pioneer and genuine guy struck down.

We knew about some of his weird personal stuff, but that shouldn't have much bearing on how he's remembered.

I listened to Kidd whenever I was taking my daughter to school. it was her station, not mine, but I certainly liked his caring and his causes.

Mrs Vol Horn used to listen to him every day in the Dallas area during the 80's. She's sad.
