I think a lot of people have been under the mistaken impression that plans for the SEZ have been in the works since the most recent renovations began in 2005, but that isn't the case.

There are renderings of the potential design, but considering that they just put semi-permanent seats in there last year, I'm guessing we're a good 5 years away from even having a serious push for funding. If it were something they were planning to do in the next couple of years, I don't think they would have scrapped the rented bleachers and paid for the upgrade.

The numbers reported are not tickets sold but actual bodies in the stadium.

Two years ago when they moved the band from the lower norht east seats to the south end zone they had an engineer come out during a rehearsal to see how those old bleachers withstood the band playing, jumping up and down, etc. The answer was not very well. They told the band no jumping for season before last. Those old bleachers had to go. The new section was designed with the band in mind...wider aisles, spots for the drumstands, etc. Unless someone was really clever (doubtful) and designed the current structure to be an integral part of a further expansion I think the sez will stay as it is for a long time.
