Khat Bell to play basketball after volleyball

So said Nell Fortner during tonight's volleyball telecast. I'm assuming she will be a power forward for the 'Horns . . .

that will be interesting. Do we have a ship available in 2015 or will she pay her own way? Sara Hattis really helped out the second half of the season when she played during her freshman year.

They said Khat will be switching to basketball after the volleyball season is over.

Women's Basketball offers 15 scholarships and there are currently 14 players on the roster ... so 1 scholarship is open for her.

A lot of us wondered how the volleyball team "came up" with an extra scholarship for Penn State transfer, Paulina Prieto-Cerame. Looks like Khat Bell went on basketball scholarship right before the Fall semester in order to open up a volleyball 'ship for Paulina. So, I guess now Bell is obligated to participate in some basketball activities once volleyball season is over.

Not sure how much or if she'll actually play, but with Imani and Diani out with injuries, we might need her to contribute. Not sure how she did in high school, but she has great strength and jumping ability; hopefully, that translates into a good rebounder.

Is Nell Fortner now employed by Texas?

Nell does Texas Volleyball on LHN and did WBB last year with Fran on LHN. I also heard her on the SEC network doing VB. She played BB and followed that with a year of VB here, if I remember correctly.
