Kerbey Lane

Trendy, under thirty crowd. You go here for the LATE LATE LATE night action.Try their queso and pancakes, although not necessarily together. They have excellent breakfast food at all times.Hook 'em.

They still have the finest migas around. The verde sauce is tremendous. Make sure you get a short stack of the gingerbread pancakes. You'll roll out of the place, but you'll be very happy.

They have fantastic blueberry pancakes. But I must admit, since seeing a very disturbing report on the Research location on the news regarding its sanitation, I haven't been back in awhile.

Unless you're a Bubba & can't find your way out of South Austin, there are 2 Kerbey Lanes to visit:- the original on Kearbey off 35th St
- the new location @ 28th & Guadalupe (the old Conan's next to Texas Showdown)good food, long waits, sometimes surly waitstaff, tattoos galore. Kerbey is one of those places that helps define Austin. Be prepared to wait, but go & have fun. There is also a Kerbey Lane off 183 way up north -- no idea what it's like.

KIRBY QUESO SOOOO GOOD! one time my dad paid me 20 bucks for eating a pancake while only using a fork from my mouth... no hands and must use silverware. Gotta love that plcae.
