Kentucky Goes Down

Wisconsin wins 71-64, so no undefeated team this season. Kentucky really got hosed down the stretch, on a missed shot clock violation, that allowed a put back to tie the game at 60 all. Then a phantom foul call for two Badger free throws.

Kentucky fouled a lot in the last 20 seconds to mount the score for Wisconsin.

Ashley Judd needs consoling.

I don't know who needs consoling more: Ashley or Rex Chapman. He's the biggest homer announcer I've ever seen. Hell, he entire broadcast was and still is talking abt Ky, not the winners. But it was a great game and half of my bracket is still alive for the championship.

I congratulate Kentucky on a great season. For a team of 18 to 21 year olds to win that many games in a row, with so much pressure and get to the final four was a great accomplishment. I'm a person that appreciates greatness, I don't hate. But the badgers were the better team tonight.

Really happy to see Kentucky get beat. I was at the Wisconsin-Kentucky game last year in Jerryworld, and the Kentucky fans were highly irritating, obnoxious and taunting. I know, Texas fans can be that way, myself included.
And don't blame the officiating, because there were three very questionable calls against Wisconsin which gave Kentucky its last lead, followed by three very questionable calls that went the Badgers' way. It certainly was not one-sided officiating. The Badgers deserved the win, they took it from Kentucky when it mattered most.
Very few teams win it all relying on one-and-done freshmen, although Kentucky is one that has claimed the NC trophy that way. It doesn't usually work out.

When Kentucky was down by 10 they woke up and went on a tear, then seemed to go back to sleep. Good game though.

Really it was just a matter of time. I picked ND over KY in the elite 8 and Wisco in the final. KY is an amazing assembly of talent and coaching but they were beatable. Obviously. Congrats to them on a great season. And congrats to all the next level players on that team that are about to make some serious coin. #Next

I could care less, who won or lost. Judgement calls by refs are just that and is part of the game. A shot clock violation, at the most crucial point of a game, to put you in the championship game is not a judgement call. It was obvious and should be able to be reviewed, they missed it because of the crowd noise. Calls like that should be able to be reviewed at any point in the game. It wasn't a question of whether a shot hit the rim either, to reset the clock. It resulted in the put back that tied the score and helped to swing the game to Wisconsin.

If that was Texas on the wrong end of a call like that, in a game with that magnitude, everybody here would be howling mad.

I always thought if any team could beat Kentucky, it would be Wisconsin. They match up well against them.

Great game!! I'm happy for Wisconsin since they haven't been there in so long.

Now, who's going to tell Kaminsky that he can't be an S.A.E.?

"I don't know who needs consoling more: Ashley or Rex Chapman." Or aggy, remember, they took UK to double OT this year.

By Wisconsin stealing the Wildcats of the national title, aggy also will need to dispose of the banner they were surely working on to hang in the rafters of Reed Arena: "2015, UK 2OT, ran out of time."
