Kegs in Austin

I want to buy a keg of Rio Blanco or something of similar stature. Where is the cheapest place to get one? I know I will spend over $100 (probably $120), but am just looking for where the beer snobs buy their kegs.

As an aside, I think I'm just going to have to front the money for kegging my homebrew. I feel that will save me money in the long run.

I buy my kegs at the Party Barn and they have a great selection. Of course I don't get anything too fancy.

You might also call Junior's

Yeah, HEB is normally the cheapest, but for special kegs they normally need at least a week. The one closest to my house doesn't sell them and the one at 40th wants $133. Party Barn has screwed me enough times that I don't really like to go over there. I like Juniors, but their Real Ale kegs are $120. And I'm not a big fan of NXNW beers. I am going to call Whip In in a little. Whip In charges $119 and needs a couple of days notice.

I don't need the keg for a week and a half, so I have time to shop around. With the Super Bowl coming up, it would be nice to find a cheap, good beer keg supplier (that seems like a lot of adjectives in front of supplier).

hell, it would be nice to find a cheap supplier anywhere around austin. if you go to a ****** city like college station or lubbock, you can get kegs for at least 25% less than what they are here. the last bud light keg i bought in college station was $55. the last bud keg i bought here was $90.

do all HEBs have kegs? who do you ask? the only time i have ever got a keg at HEB was spring break, the HEB in port isabel YEARS ago.

we normally get our kegs at juniors but the next time i get a keg, i'm going somewhere closer if i can.
