Keg Question

I plan on bringin a keg or two to my tailgates this year but I dont know much about it. Should I just go to Specs every week and get a new one then return it after the game. Or is it worth it to buy a shell for my own? Is it worth buying a tap of my own so I dont have to pay that extra deposit everytime too?

Thanks in advance

I see that photograph in your signature, and I recall wondering what that lone USC defensive end was thinking on Vince's last TD run of the NC game. "WTF? I'm one-on-one with HIM and the national championship is on the line? ****!!!!!" It had to be a bad feeling knowing you were gonna give it your most inhuman effort and still not make the play...

Those are some high quality responses to his question!

In all seriousness, I have nothing of value to add either. My experience with kegs is from hs/college (late 80's - early 90's). But I do like beer!!

Buy a tap and a CO2 tank. No pumping, and the beer will stay fresh. If you really want to pimp it out, buy an icebox with a plate cooler or a coil in it. No need to mess/transport/store the plastic bin full of ice to hold the keg.
