Keeping old Sports Illustrateds?

I've been subscribing to Sports Illustrated since 1986 (first issue - Rockets-Celtics NBA Finals!). anyway, i was a kid when i started getting the magazine, and for some reason, when i was done with them, i just put them in a box. Over the years, that just continued. Now, I have several big boxes full of 22 years of SIs. There are a few missing here and there that the dog peed on or what have you. Now, I'm grown, married and moving into a new house. Question...

is there any reason why i shouldn't just throw all of these in the dumpster? I never go back and look at them, and they're not really worth anything. I'll go through them and save a handful of the cool ones (Horns on the cover, etc.), but I see no good reason for holding on to them. But kind of feel strange about throwing something away that i've held on to for so long.

Just thought I'd ask this group before I trashed them all.

I've got about 20 years worth of another certain monthly periodical that takes up lots of room in my closet. Don't know what to do with those either.

I would go through them and pull all of the ones that have championship covers. Sell them on ebay. Toss the rest.

I used to save them. Then I stopped subscribing and I got rid of the the rest. It's a relief when you quit the habit.
