What is the point? Karate Kid, for all its 80s cheesiness, is a modern classic. Remakes should be reserved for movies that can be improved upon. This one cannot be. I promise it will suck.

The report says the setting is being moved to China. Mr. Miyagi was Japanese and karate is a Japanese martial art, or so I thought. But then again, Hollywood never let coherent plot lines stand in the way of making a few bucks. Man, this is gonna suck
