If Texas beats Okie-State, then Kansas' title will be like USC's title in the AP poll when LSU won the BCS title. Kansas loss to Texas (both then with the same records, but Kansas losing the head-to-head) would still make them champions by virtue of them... being Kansas. Kind of like USC got their title by virtue of... being USC.
In all other parts of the planet it's call sharing a title. An oft-used term is "Co-Champs."
All this BS Co-Champ stuff could have been resolved by beating a pathetic Texas Tech team that KU drummed by nearly 50, 2 days after knocking us off at Lubbock. The same Lubbock where Baylor beat Tech by double digits.
Actually, KU beat Tech by 58, but I suppose at some point some people might have stopped counting. The Tech win over Texas was sandwiched by two losses by a combined 102 points.
As much as their fans will claim 4 straight titles, the majority of them are smart fans and know deep down they are sharing 3 of those 4 titles, and ultimately 1b, not 1a. All fans would rather be 1a over 1b, period.
