I just remembered the game was on and dropped in on the TexasSports.tv broadcast. Lo and behold, our 'Horns have staked themselves to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth.

Jungmann works out of jams in the seventh and eighth inning while the offense adds another in the bottom of the seventh after K-State walks the bases loaded with no outs.

Knebel warmed up and figures to close the ninth--Taylor's pitch count is 106, I think.

So impressed with Knebel. Encouraging to think we've got him for two more seasons after this.

Let's do this Hoby! If Milner steps up and can be a very solid 2 or 3 starter, we are in business as far as starters. Cole Green will be just fine. Come on Hoby, you've been great so far here at Texas, make the jump to the bigtime today and join the vets as dominators. We'd have best 1,2,3,4 rotation in college baseball. And with Knebel throwing gas to close, pitching will be nasty come postseason. Maybe even nasty enough to cover for the bats.
